God, Crawfish & South Louisiana

Lent in Louisiana is a strange party. A lot of people tend to give something up for Lent - like a second chance at a New Years' Resolution. But like all things down here, we have figured a way to make more fun than it was intended. Fridays during Lent means crawfish boils and restaurant outings for huge seafood platters. I have always found this strangely amusing. We (Cajuns) really do make everything a party.
